About
Bridging cultures.
Building legacy.
AfroBall Indy is Indianapolis' celebration of African and diaspora culture, produced each year by Indy Black Professionals. What started as one night is now a season: a festival, a trip to Lagos, a networking evening and the ball.
For year six, the theme is Royalty Rising. It is about honoring where we come from and showing up as the ones building what comes next.
Presented at AfroBall
Advancing Africa Awards
Each year we honor individuals and organizations whose work moves Africa forward, including work that connects African Americans and the wider diaspora with the continent. Meet the people and groups recognized so far. Nominations are open through July 31, 2027.
